Alongside the new flagship Nubia 5S, Chinese phone maker ZTE also announced a new 'Mini' phone, dubbed the Nubia 5S Mini. The device features a slower 1.7 GHz Snapdragon SoC (no word on whether it is a dual-core or a quad-core part) but retains the option for LTE connectivity.

Under the hood, you'll find 2 GB of RAM, 16 or 32 GB of internal storage, and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The 13 MP rear snapper lacks OIS, while the front camera is an impressive 5 MP module (gone are the days of VGA front facing cameras). ZTE's Nubia 5S Mini is slim and light, at just 7.6mm and 120g respectively. We almost forgot, despite the 'Mini' tag, the Nubia 5S sports a somewhat large 4.7-inch HD display.

Looking for the 3G version with 16 GB of storage? That will cost you CNY 1,499 ($250). Want the LTE variant with 32 GB of storage instead? Be prepared to cough up CNY 2,345 ($350). No word on when the phone will make it out of China, but we have hope it is sometime soon.
