Huawei's update to their claimed "world's slimmest" Smartphone, dubbed the Ascend P6S, won't feature an octa-core chipset after all. However, fresh details regarding the chipset that will power the said device have emerged, thanks to none other than ARM themselves. Huawei new power-optimized Mali-450 quad-core (MP4) GPU will make an appearance, while the CPU cores are still based on an old ARM Cortex A9 architecture. The new piece of silicon is called HiSilicon Kirin910 and while it doesn't feature the latest and the greatest, it does promise to provide a "perfectly smooth gaming experience." We'll hold on to that until we see real world benchmarks conducted on an Ascend P6S, once the device is out sometime in Q1 2014.
