The Sony Xperia Z1S, a 'Mini' version of the company's flagship Xperia Z1, was originally believed to be slated for end of 2013. New evidence suggests that the Xperia Z1S won't go on sale before January, 2014. But for when it does, we have some soupy details. A fresh batch of leaked images of the phone, also called Xperia Z1 f in Japan (DoCoMo exclusive), possibly reveal the price of an unlocked unit. Unlike what we had expected (for a Snapdragon 800 powered device with 2 GB of RAM, 20.7 MP rear camera and 2,300 mAh battery), the Xperia Z1S might sport a modest $590 (3600 Yuan) price tag, which sounds right given the amazing specifications of the phone that we have heard about so far.
What do you think? Will Sony manage to survive a head-on with the Apple iPhone 5S? I sure hope so. It's high time an Android equivalent (form factor, features) of the iPhone exists that actually manages to impress the audience on equal footing.
