DayZ Standalone To Drop Before April

Creator of the hit zombie survival game DayZ, Dean Hall, spoke up on Reddit and stated that he feels the standalone version of the game should be available to players before April. The team wants to start slow with the servers to ensure all goes well.

They plan on starting by handing out a few access keys in the beginning and if all is working properly to quickly move to get more people online. He stated, "Don't expect the tech test to be fun, or very pretty." Once the standalone is released, his plans are to create a new map that features a western city.

He also stated that he is angry about the whole War Z debacle, as there were a lot of people who confused the two games and thought he was the one who released the problematic game. He stated that he had close friends and family members confront him about unethical behavior when they confused the two titles.
