Japanese cellular carrier NTT DoCoMo inked an exclusive launch deal for LG's Optimus G Pro (model: L-04E), a 5-inch smartphone armed to the teeth with high-end features. To name a few, its 5-inch IPS LCD screen packs a 1080p resolution, imaging is care of a 13-megapixel BSI CMOS camera sensor (probably Sony Exmor), at its heart throbs a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core SoC clocked at 1.70 GHz with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB storage that's expandable with micro-SDXC; and a high-capacity 3,000 mAh battery to power it all. The only thing worth cribbing about this touchslab is LG's choice of Android 4.1 over 4.2. Regardless, the UI is heavily customized by DoCoMo. Available for orders with various carrier plans, the Optimus G Pro will start shipping to Japanese buyers no sooner than April. There's no word on availability elsewhere.
