New details about the Microsoft's next Windows Phone operating system have surfaced, revealing some interesting things. According to a published report, the company plans to launch the much anticipated Windows Phone 8.1 operating system sometime in April next year.
The OS will bring many new features, including Siri-like personal assistant called Cortana. Allegedly it will respond to both vocal and typed input instead of Bing Search. Along with Cortana, the new OS will finally feature a notification center which is accessed with a short swipe from the top. It is also noted that there are several improvements in setting the volume controls, allowing users to set a ringtone and media playback volume independently.
