PointGrab is a startup that wants to revolutionize the way humans interact with home appliances. Ever dreamt if you could just think about something and make it happen? Well, PointGrab won't enable that. What it does aim to do is allow you to point and control appliances in your house. According to the company, their product works "using depth information to create a 'transparent space' in front of the user, enabling a 'touch-like' operation of devices, but from a distance."
Two videos which detail PointSwitch and AirTouch have been released by the company, and here they are. Tech demos will most definitely be shown off at CES 2014, which is barely weeks away. First consumer products based on PointGrab's tech is expected in early 2014.
