Xolo To Launch Windows Phone 8.1 Powered Handsets In 2014

Popular Indian phone maker Xolo has revealed its plans to launch their very own Windows Phone 8.1 powered Smartphones in 2014. Of course, they will have to wait for Microsoft to officially announce the new version of their mobile OS first, but that shouldn't be long. Xolo, like its current Android lineup, won't go for ultra cheap handsets that will go head-on with the likes of the Lumia 520. Instead, their handsets will be priced in the Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000 range ($160 to $320) that will actually give the top dogs a run for their money.

The very first WP8.1 powered handsets are expected to arrive in Q1 2014. Xolo is hoping to jump into the game around the same timeframe.
