Opera has always remained one of the top choice for mobile browsers. Their server-side compression technology is unbeaten and has been proven to save a ton of data, and thus reduce your data bills. That can particularly be useful if you surf a lot while you are on the move. But with their new product, the Opera team has outdone themselves. Opera Max, presently in beta, can compress images, videos and text files to save data on every app that you use on your Smartphone or tablet. The app configures a VPN that routs your data through it, but not before it has been compressed.
The app is currently available in its beta form in the US. A global rollout is expected to follow soon.
