Google's Native Client (NaCl) for Chrome took its first big step toward platform-independence with the announcement of an ARM version. The Chromium development team announced ARM support with NaCl SDK version 25 and above. NaCl lets you run high-performance C and C++ code within Chrome, letting websites deploy web-based apps that can do much more than HTML5 is capable of. Porting existing (x86) NaCl apps to ARM is fairly straightforward, by adding an extension, changing a manifest.
