LG G Pad 8.3 Not Coming To India

In a surprise move, LG Mobile Marketing head Amit Gujral revealed to iGyaan that the new LG G Pad 8.3, most recently in the news for being launched as the first Google Play Edition tablet, will not be making its way to retail stores in India. The reason?

LG will also not launch the G Pad 8.3 in India, the company believes that larger smartphones have become a trend. In a market like India, a user prefers a phone call and data capable Smartphone over a non connected large screen tablet.

A bummer indeed. We would love to have a cellular version of the LG G Pad 8.3, you hear us LG?

Here's a quick recap of the LG G Pad. The $350 tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset, features 2 GB of RAM, an 8.3-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200) display, 5 MP rear and 1.3 MP front cameras and a large 4,600 mAh battery.
