Huawei Ascend Mate 2 Might Feature 720p Display After All

After believing for weeks on end that the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 might feature an upgraded 1080p panel, a new leak today heightens the possibility of Huawei's giant phablet of sporting the same 720p resolution, spread across 6.1-inches of diagonal real estate. A couple of images were leaked today which confirms the same. They also confirm that the Ascend Mate 2 will run on Android 4.2.2 with Emotion UI, and that the phablet is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor (HiSilicon), 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage and of course, a 6.1-inch 720p display. A 13 MP rear camera module is now confirmed.

Huawei is expected to make an official announcement regarding this device at CES next week.
