Surprise, surprise! Sony launched a new 6-inch class phablet today. Dubbed Xperia T2 Ultra, the company's latest Android powered device isn't targeted at the top-end market. But rather, by cutting down on some of the high-end specs of the Xperia Z Ultra, Sony hopes to conquer "emerging markets" by offering a mix of good specs and budget pricing.
The Xperia T2 Ultra sports a 6-inch HD (1280 x 720) Triluminos display, a 13 MP rear camera, 3,000 mAh battery, 8 GB of expandable storage, all wrapped in a 7.6mm package. Sony has packaged its Social Camera App suite to enhance your photography experience, which is bound to be much better than that offered by the Xperia Z Ultra. The Xperia T2 Ultra is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon SoC coupled with 1 GB of RAM.
