Samsung today dropped the price of the Galaxy Gear to Rs. 18,999 in India. The Korean company's first attempt at making a smart watch didn't exactly meet with a great response. Add to that a very high launch price tag (Rs. 25,000), all ingredients in the recipe for disaster were in there. The good news is that a revised model is on the way, that will most likely be launched alongside the Galaxy S5 sometime in the next three months. Meanwhile, for those who absolutely can't wait to own a smart watch, the Galaxy Gear now costs just Rs. 18,999. A great deal considering Sony's Smartwatch 2 costs just 3k less, but offers a much smaller feature set.
