An agreement signed by Apple with Liquidmetal Technologies back in 2010 lead us to believe that the Cupertino company will make use of the same material in their new iPhones. Well, it has been three years, so will the 2014 refresh be the one to finally debut with a Liquidmetal alloy build? 17 new patent filings, discovered by MacRumors, make us believe once again that Apple is indeed testing the new alloy for future devices. The patents are related to touch sensors found on the display, pressure sensor in the home button, etc. which are all very exciting. Unfortunately, we don't know anything beyond this at the moment.
