We recently reported that Turtle Rock Studios, the team behind Left 4 Dead, had revealed a new sci-fi shooter called Evolve. Today they are officially announcing it and have provided more details and when they plan on making the game available to everyone.
The game is a blend of cooperative and competitive multiplayer, as teams of four hunters will face off against a creature that is controlled by a single player. The four people who are hunting the creature will control their characters in a first-person perspective, while the single-player control monster will be run from a third-person perspective. The game will be set on an alien planet in the far future.
"Our philosophy is to build incredibly fun game experiences that we can't find anywhere else," said Chris Ashton, co-founder and design director at Turtle Rock Studios. "Evolve's co-op vs. lone wolf formula has created some of the most intense multiplayer matches we've ever experienced."
You can pre-order the game starting today from their website at the source link, and they are planning a release some time in the autumn of this year for the Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PC.
