At the beginning of his career David Fincher's releases were a bit like Microsoft's OS: one hit, one 'meh', one hit, one 'meh'. The so-so Alien 3 (though to his credit, through no fault of own), then Seven, The Game, Fight Club, Panic Room and finally Zodiac. After that he's the man with the Midas touch: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Social Network and finally The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
After being on a role for years, the director is now up to something completely different. His new release is called 'House of Cards' and is pretty much a 26 episode long movie. This is Netflix's first original series and the first 13 episodes of season 1 have been released simultaneously for your binge viewing pleasure. Episode 1 of the series will be free to the end of February.
Fincher has stated that every single member of the main cast were his first choice for their respective roles. The political series stars Kevin Spacey and is an adaptation of the 1990 BBC series.
