Having been leaked last week, HP has now officially launched its new Chromebook. Calling it "the first full-size 14-inch Chromebook," Pavilion 14 is the company's first notebook with Google operating system. With the launch of the Pavilion 14 Chromebook, HP becomes the fourth company with Chrome OS device.
Being a 14-inch notebook, HP Pavilion 14 is available to buy in the US for a $330 which makes it more expensive than Samsung's and Acer's Chromebook. It offers a 1.1 GHz Intel Core processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB solid-state drive. The display packs a 1366 x 768 resolution, same as Chromebook from Samsung and Acer. In terms of connectivity, Pavilion 14 Chromebook comes with Wireless LAN 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth modules, with three full size USB 2.0 ports and an HDMI output via Ethernet LAN. One of the disadvantages is its 4-cell battery that lasts only around 4 hours.
