Just a month after introducing the first price cut, Samsung has yet again slashed the price of their debut smart watch. The Galaxy Gear now costs just Rs. 14,999, which is nearly 35% lower than the launch price (Rs. 22,990). There could be multiple reasons behind this price cut. We already know that people aren't too happy with the product, so this step could have been taken to act as a catalyst to boost sales. Alternatively, we believe that Samsung is trying to clear out stock so as to prepare the market for the Galaxy Gear 2, which will reportedly be unveiled alongside the Galaxy S5 in February or March.
For those who can't wait and want an Android powered smart watch right away, the Galaxy Gear for Rs. 14,999 is a pretty good deal.
