Motorola RAZR i owners in the UK should start getting prompted by their phones to update to the newer Android 4.1 "Jelly Bean" operating system, from stock Android 4.0.4 "Ice Cream Sandwich." Pointy M announced UK as its next stop for a phased worldwide roll-out of the software update. British RAZR i owners closely follow their counterparts from across the Channel, in France. Android 4.1 augments the already feature-rich RAZR i with Google Now, Voice Search, better notifications, and a more polished user interface.
Launched first in September 2012, the RAZR i from Motorola is a figure-conscious touchslab measuring 122.5 x 60.9 x 8.3 mm, weighing about 125 g; featuring a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) AMOLED screen, Intel Atom Z2460 x86 SoC clocked at 2.00 GHz with PowerVR SGX540 graphics, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of expandable internal storage, and a compliment of cameras that include an 8-megapixel primary, with 0.6-megapixel front.
