NVIDIA is working on an updated Tegra Note reference design, and this one is surely a beast. How do we know that? Thanks to multiple entries on AnTuTu benchmark's database, we now know that an updated Tegra Note, powered by NVIDIA's new Tegra K1 SoC, is in the works. The powerhouse of a tablet runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat, packs 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB internal storage and has its CPUs clocked at 2.1 GHz. However, we are more interested in seeing the performance of Kepler, the GPU core ticking away inside the Tegra K1 SoC, and how it powers a 1920 x 1200 resolution display.
Perhaps an official announcement will be made during MWC next week? Who knows! We certainly hope so, alongside a rumored NVIDIA Shield 2, also powered by the same new chipset.
