Instagram Getting Pumped With $100 Million Worth Ads

Yep. It's happening. Zuckerberg didn't acquire Instagram for nothing, we hope you know that by now. The popular photo sharing service that became popular by allowing people to easily apply filters on their camera shots and make them feel good about their clicks, is getting pumped with $100 million by Omnicom Media, on behalf of a close group of clients, over the next one year. Instagram, with over 150 million users, is definitely a great platform to market your product. The company hopes to keep such ads non-intrusive, saying that only selective and targeted ads will be shown.

"This doesn't change our advertising strategy moving forward -- people will continue to see a limited number of beautiful, high-quality photos and videos from select brands who already have a strong presence on Instagram. Our teams are going to work hand in hand to develop and execute campaigns that provide people with amazing imagery. This is an exciting new chapter and we're looking forward to the great creative content that comes out of this partnership." - Jim Squires, Director of Market Operations, Instagram
