Candy Crush Maker's Company Files IPO, Valued At Over $7 Billion

The maker of Candy Crush, King, filed its IPO today. Shares are selling for $22.50 a pop, with the IPO valued at over $7 billion. Candy Crush, the highly addictive free-to-play title, is played by over 100 million users each day. King makes money off microtransactions, which have proven to be the king of revenue models in recent times.

Whether King turns out to be another Rovio or Zynga remains to be seen. At this stage, it is simply too early to comment.
