Archos has just announced new Platinum range of tablets in its Elements series. Archos is a French consumer electronics company that is yet unknown for many users, but the company has some neat tablet lineups. A new line of tablets features quad-core processors and an aluminium-body design combined with high definition IPS displays.
There will be three tablets in new Platinum range including an 8-inch, 9.7-inch and an 11.6-inch which will be released later this year. All tablets are running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
The Archos 80 Platinum is an 8-inch tablet and comes with 1024 x 768 pixels resolution IPS screen. The 9.7-inch version carries Archos 97 Platinum HD name and will come with a stunning 2048x1536 pixels resolution IPS screen. The Archos 80 Platinum is available now for $199 while Archos 97 Platinum HD will cost you $299. The latest tablet is Archos 116 Platinum comes with a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution display and will be available sometime in April for $349.
All tablets come with a quad-core processor running at 1.2 GHz along with 8-core GPU and 2 GB of RAM. They support 1080p video decoding, have front and back cameras, mini-HDMI and microSD ports. There is also a complete access to the Google Play store and Google mobile applications.
