Gigabyte recently launches U2442DT gaming Ultrabook which is the improved version of Ultrabook from what the company showed back in March last year. However, the Taiwanese manufacturer has just announced an "Extreme Ultrabook" for all those hardcore gamers who also seek mobility. New thin and high-performance laptop is called U2442F.
Designed for ultra-performance, the Ultrabook is powered by a third-generation, ultra-low voltage (ULV) processor, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M discrete graphics and is able to offer up to 16 GB of DDR3 RAM. The U2442F sports a 14-inch LED-backlit display with a native resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels and is able to pack a 256 GB mSATA SSD and a large 750 GB/1 TB HDD.
Design of U2442F is an elegant design in a sleek form factor between 18.5 - 21mm and weighs only 1.59 kg with mSATA SSD, or 1.69 kg with two disks. Due to two large power consumer, Intel i7 processor and NVIDIA Kepler graphics card, the Ultrabook has an improved venting system to keep the temperatures as low as possible. It also provides superb audio and multimedia experience with THX TruStudio Pro audio technology and an automatic light sensing backlit keyboard.
Other specifications include two USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports, Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 modules and an HDMI port.
