HTC One Benchmarked; Snapdragon 600 Performs Extremely Well

Two days ago, HTC unveiled new smartphone flagship, the HTC One. The handset features 4.7-inch Super LCD 3 display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution with powerful hardware under the hood. There is Qualcomm's quad-core SoC Snapdragon 600, clocked at 1.7 GHz paired with 2 GB of RAM. Did HTC made a good decision with Qualcomm's 1.7 GHz processor?

One thing is sure; HTC One is a beast of smartphones, but how good is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 600 processor in comparison with other CPUs? The folks over at Slashgear made a few benchmark tests at HTC's launch event. The Snapdragon 600 smashed the competitors and ensured first place to HTC One smartphone in synthetic benchmarks.

Guys at GSM Arena have tested the handset through much more tests. If you are looking for raw power, this smartphone is the one right now. If the Snapdragon 600 is this good, how good will the Snapdragon 800 be?
