Two days ago, HTC unveiled new smartphone flagship, the HTC One. The handset features 4.7-inch Super LCD 3 display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution with powerful hardware under the hood. There is Qualcomm's quad-core SoC Snapdragon 600, clocked at 1.7 GHz paired with 2 GB of RAM. Did HTC made a good decision with Qualcomm's 1.7 GHz processor?

The folks over at Slashgear made a few benchmark tests at HTC's launch event. The Snapdragon 600 smashed the competitors and ensured first place to HTC One smartphone in synthetic benchmarks.
