Windows Phone 8.1 GDR2 Update To Bring 2K Display Support

Previously, we had posted that Microsoft is working on as many as two major GDR updates for Windows Phone 8.1, both of which are due out before the end of 2014. Well, NokiaPowerUser reports that the Windows Phone 8.1 GDR2 update will bring support for 2K displays, which will allow flagships to sport 2560 x 1440 (Quad HD) panels. Also, support for Qualcomm's Snapdragon 805 chipset is in the works.

The Windows Phone 8.1 GDR2 update is expected to arrive sometime in October or November.
