With just days upon Mobile World Congress, LG has officially launched new mid-range smartphones, the Optimus F7 and F5. As the naming scheme suggests, the F7 is a bigger one and has a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display with 720 x 1,280 pixels resolution and 312ppi. There is a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear-facing and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Along with 8 GB of storage, the F7 is powered by 2,150 mAh battery.
The Optimus F5 sports a smaller screen, 4.3-inch IPS. There is a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor paired with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB memory, expandable via microSD. On the back of the smartphone, there is a 5-megapixel shooter with 1.3-megapixel at the front. The handset has a 2,150 mAh battery.
Common among both devices is Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system with QSlide and Live Zooming features. Pricing is yet to be announced, but the Optimus F5 will come to market first in Europe during the second quarter, while the Optimus F7 will make debut few weeks later.
