Acer is on fire today. After announcing four new Smartphones, the company has announced yet another one. The Liquid Jade is different. It's the company's new high-end 5-incher, sure, but it comes with the Liquid Leap fitness band. The latter is a smart band that allows its wearer to track various fitness-related metrics such as the number of steps walked, run distance, sleep cycle timings and the estimated amount of calories burnt.
The Liquid Leap can also display incoming notifications such as calls and messages and allows you to control music playback on the Liquid Jade Smartphone. It also shows time, weather and is IPX7 certified, i.e. water resistant. Acer promises between 5-7 days of battery life on a single full charge.
The Acer Liquid Jade sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) IPS display and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 chipset. There's a 13 MP rear camera, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of expandable storage, a 2,100 mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat OS. It's pretty compact too, at just 140.5 x 69 x 7.5mm. There's dual-SIM functionality as well.
