DDoS Attack Takes Down Evernote For Hours

Evernote was hit with a DDoS attack, leaving the note taking service unavailable for a large portion of its 100 million users. The attack began late on Tuesday and after first confirming that the service was not accessible, Evernote released another statement confirming that the reason for the downtime was that a DDoS attack was taking place.

After being unavailable for several hours into the evening, Evernote is now up for most users. DDoS attacks have become more common overtime because of how easy they are for people to carry out.
