HTC CMO Slights Galaxy S 4

It looks like LG isn't the only company that's either feeling threatened by or genuinely unimpressed by Samsung's Galaxy S 4, launched last Thursday. While LG trolled Samsung's "The Next Galaxy" billboards near Radio City New York; HTC gave away hot chocolate and snacks to people waiting outside Radio City Music Hall on Thursday. In another part of the globe, company CMO Ben Ho took to Twitter under the hashtag #theNextBigFlop, in which he did the only thing he could do to help his ailing company -- bash the Galaxy S 4.

To summarize Ho's attack, Galaxy S4 is "more of the same thing," except its bigger screen. The plasticy Galaxy S4 is no match for HTC One's aluminum unibody construction, according to the new CMO. Piecing together his comments on Twitter, he released a statement junking the Galaxy S 4.

"With a continuation of a plastic body, and a larger screen being the most obvious physical change, Samsung's new Galaxy pales in comparison to the all-aluminum unibody HTC One.

"This is more of the same. HTC remains the best option for those people looking for the best technology wrapped in premium design. Our customers want something different from the mainstream, who appear to be the target for the Galaxy.

"Our customers want original cutting-edge technology, mouth-watering design and a premium feel from their mobiles, which is why we created the HTC One."

No longer "quietly" brilliant, are we?
