Intel Comes Out With Its Own Messaging App

Intel, the chipmaker, has come out with its own messaging platform called Pocket Avatars. The app doesn't function in the same way as most messaging apps. Using Pocket Avatars, you can turn yourself into something different (a blowfish, for example) and record a message that will playback as that avatar. The app uses facial recognition to make the avatar as accurate as possible.

The app is now available on Android and iOS. It is free to download, but some of the avatars are listed as in-app purchases for $0.99.
