It looks like cheaper WiFi-only Android-powered cameras spotted in various booths at the 2013 International CES, may have prompted Samsung to take a re-look at its 3G + WiFi-enabled Galaxy Camera, which starts at US $500, made affordable only by carriers.

Samsung Galaxy Camera lands in Canada on December 07, as carrier-independent (featuring a micro-SIM slot). The Galaxy Camera combines the functionalities of a 16 MP point-and-shoot with that of a 4.8-inch, 3G-enabled Android 4.1 "Jelly Bean" handheld.
Galaxy Camera for AT&T Starts at $500
