Huawei today officially announced the Ascend W1, its first Windows Phone 8 device. After the rumours started back in October, there was no confirmation about it until CES 2013. The W1 runs Windows Phone 8 and features a 4-inch IPS 480 x 800 pixel display.
Huawei didn't wait for cutting deals with U.S. carriers, and launched its Ascend P1 4.3-inch smartphone contract-free, on Amazon, backed by a U.S. warranty and service network. It is priced at $450. Sadly, the $450 feature-rich slab lacks 4G LTE support.
A few days ago Huawei's chairman showed their latest phablet device. The handset is said to arrive with a 6.1-inch full HD screen and now more photos has emerged. In the photos, we can also see a smaller Huawei Ascend D2 which shows the size of Ascend Mate.
After Ascend D2 leaked photos, at Huawei's store in Guangzhou, China, Huawei Chairman showed off Ascend Mate - a 6.1" quad-core Android smartphone. Alongside Ascend D2, Huawei plans to make an appearance at CES 2013. The rumoured price should be around $480.
A few weeks ago, Huawei showed Ascend D2 in China. Ahead of its CES unveiling, the heavily rumoured device gets the first leaked press image. The image shows Ascends 5" 1080p display and glimpse new skin that Huawei used with its newest Android smartphone.
4G LTE ISP EE launched two new tablets pre-fitted (contracted) for its service, in the UK, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE and ASUS Nexus 7 with Huawei E3589 LTE modem bundle. With them, EE is bundling three monthly data-plans that affect up-front cost of the devices.
Huawei officially confirms that they are working hard on a rival to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Huawei’s Senior Vice President Chengdong Yu revealed they are working on a hybrid tablet device with a size somewhere between a smartphone and a full size tablet.
