New 3DS Production Ends In Japan

Nintendo has stopped manufacturing New 3DS units in Japan. An update posted to the company's Japanese websites reveals all models (white, black, and limited edition) have left production. The same message doesn't exist for the 2DS, New 2DS XL, or New 3DS XL.

More than 1 million Nintendo Switch units have sold in the Japanese market in just 17 weeks. This kind of adoption pace indicates consumers in Japan really like the product. For comparison, it took Sony 49 weeks to reach a million sales with the PlayStation 4.

Super SNES Classic Revealed, Arrives This Year

Pokemon Ultra Sun, Moon Announced For 3DS

A couple somewhat new main series Pokemon games have been announced for the Nintendo 3DS. During a Nintendo Direct stream, the company revealed Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon for the platform. Those are updated versions of two games released last year for the 3DS.

Nintendo Switch Getting Pokken Tournament Deluxe

Like with the Mario series, the first Pokemon game for the Nintendo Switch is an updated version of an existing Wii U title. During a Nintendo Direct stream, Pokken Tournament Deluxe was announced for the system. The 3D fighting game will be out on September 22.

Nintendo Has A New Mobile Pokemon Game

A new mobile Pokemon game is on the way and this time it's coming directly from Nintendo. Pokeland, an upcoming title for iOS and Android, requires an internet connection and Nintendo Account. An alpha test is beginning today just in Japan for Android devices.
