Toshiba posted an Android app for FlashAir line of SDHC cards that embed a wireless network interface. The app streamlines ad-hoc pairing and file-transfers between cameras equipped with the card, and Android-driven smartphones or tablets with the app installed.
ZTE announced what it calls the smallest 4G LTE data-card in the world, the MF823. It owes its 13 mm thickness to Qualcomm's compact second-generation LTE chipset. It supports LTE-FDD with 100/50 Mbps downstream/upstream bandwidths, and UMTS-HSPA+ 42/5.76, and GPRS.
Samsung Android and Cellular-enhanced point-and-shoot, the Galaxy Camera, backed by AT&T 4G, will be available stateside from November 16, starting at US $500. With it, AT&T also announced a $100 rebate on your next Samsung Galaxy smartphone purchase.
