Alienware users will be happy to hear that they will be getting a free performance increase with the new Alienware 13, 15 and 17 models. The new models have received small hardware updates, but there is also the new patent-pending dynamic overclocking feature included.
All three models have USB Type-C ports with USB 3.1 and Thunderbolt 3 support. The new Thunderbolt 3 supports 40 Gbps transfer speeds via the USB Type-C interface and can deliver up to 100W of power to devices. New PCIe SSD with 4 GB/s support is now included as well the Killer Wireless-AC 1535 and Killer E2400 High-Performance GbE controller.
As for the performance upgrade, they all feature Intel Skylake processors and new dynamic overclocking feature, which constantly monitor temperature thresholds to ensure maximum CPU performance.
Alienware 18 Is Back
The company has also re-introduced one of the most powerful gaming notebooks ever created, the Alienware 18. It has an 18-inch display, dual graphics, upgradable socketed CPU, up to 32 GB of RAM and up to 4 hard drives.
