The BBC is going to come out with a new streaming service for the US market. Tony Hall, general director of the BBC, says the media company needs to increase revenue and it is looking towards the US market for additional income. Big shows like Sherlock and Doctor Who are already offered in the US through BBC America. The BBC says a lot of original shows that have never been broadcast in the US will be part of the service.
Hall confirmed the existence of a new streaming service during a British television conference. However, details haven't come out and we still do not know when the service will arrive or what shows will come with it.
