Mobile and desktop users, even if they do not have a Twitter account, will now see some tweets on the network. Both non-users and logged out users will see content on the site, whereas Twitter had only been showing those visitors a login screen. Visitors will be presented with a homepage that includes popular tweets, which are from various categories.
Desktop users will only see the homepage in the US for now, but it's available on mobile devices in multiple countries.
The homepage also invites people to either log in or sign up and the module for those actions remains present as you browse the page.
Twitter is trying to attract the many individuals who visit its site each day but who don't yet have an account. 320 million active users exist on Twitter, but the network gets visits from 500 million people per month.
