LG Challenges GoPro With New Action Cam That Has LTE Connectivity

It is obvious that GoPro is not as strong as it was few years ago. The company still has one of the best action cameras, but other companies are slowly closing the gap. One of those companies is LG as well, who has just introduced a new action camera called Action Cam LTE.

Unlike other cameras, the LG's camera has its own LTE/3G connection and built-in GPS, so you can automatically live stream your recordings and invite others to join you. Specs-wise, the camera packs a 12.3 MP sensor with 1.55µm pixels and very wide lens - 150°. It allows you to shoot 4K @ 30fps video, 1080p @ 60fps and 720p @ 120fps, but the live streaming is limited to 720p @ 30fps.

Other specs include a Snapdragon 650 chipset with 2 GB of RAM and 4 GB of storage for the OS, IP67 support, a 1,400 mAh battery for up to 4 hours of shooting, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity.

The company has yet to reveal its pricing and availability.
