Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update Finally Released

Anniversary update for desktop and notebook PCs have started rolling out on August 2, and it was believed that the update for Windows 10 Mobile will go out at the same time. Then it was allegedly postponed for August 9, and today Microsoft has finally released the update.

As always, Microsoft makes things difficult. Only smartphones that were sold unlocked. Depending on "manufacturer, model, country or region, mobile operator or service provider, hardware limitations, and other factors," not all users will get it today. Unlike desktop version, it's not quite packed with new features. There are new rich notifications, notification sync, and a Skype app built on the Universal Windows Platform.
