Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey was temporarily suspended from the service on Tuesday. He was entirely unavailable on the network for a few hours and he returned with an explanation, blaming the suspension on an "internal mistake." His return tweet referenced his famous first tweet from 2006.
just setting up my twttr…again (account suspension was an internal mistake)— jack (@jack) November 23, 2016
When Dorsey initially returned, he was left with just 142 followers. That number eventually returned to his actual 2.61 million.
Dorsey didn't fully explain what caused the suspension.
His temporary removal from the site comes after Twitter intentionally banned popular members of the US' alt-right movement.
