Amazon Removes Knockoff Items, Creates Mechanism To Prevent Counterfeits

Amazon is removing counterfeit items from its site and has implemented a policy that'll keep new counterfeits from being listed. The site has been contacting brands to have them register their products with Amazon. Once registered, Amazon can verify other sellers actually have permission to list the items.

The registry will grow during 2017, with a focus on stopping counterfeit listings for major companies.
