Trump Allegedly Didn't Include Twitter In Tech Summit Due To Emoji Issue

Twitter was notably absent from the Trump administration's tech summit earlier today and it reportedly didn't make an appearance due to an emoji dispute. Politico says Trump wanted there to be an emoji version of the #CrookedHillary hashtag, but Twitter wasn't on-board.

In response, the Trump team quickly denied leaving Twitter out for that reason. It says the social network wasn't invited because "they aren't big enough."

A number of major executives in the tech industry were at the meeting, including Apple CEO Tim Cook, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, Alphabet CEO Larry Page, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, and IBM CEO Brian Krzanich.

Trump encouraged the executives to "call" him whenever they have suggestions. He also encouraged them to "keep going with the incredible innovation."
