Another interesting new product from Sony at IFA 2017 was the RX0, a rugged action camera. As GoPro is having financial trouble, Sony was to take advantage of that and gain more market share with this camera.
The camera comes with 1-inch Exmor RS CMOS sensor, which is the same sensor size used on the RX10 and RX100 line, and offers a resolution of 15.3MP. The sensor is paired with the BIONZ X processor and a wide-angle Zeiss Tessar T* lens (24mm, f/4.0), and can shoot in RAW or JPEG and deliver up to 16fps burst, or record 960fps slow-motion videos and 240fps at 1080p.
It measures 59 x 40.5 x 29.8 mm and is also water, shock and crushproof. Unfortunately, the pricing isn't the best. The RX0 will ship in October 2017 for $700.
