Tesla is likely going to unveil its electric semi truck during an event on October 26, CEO Elon Musk announced on Twitter. It's not a guaranteed date, but it is the current plan. Tesla will both unveil the semi and have a test ride in Hawthorne, California.
Earlier this year, Musk said the company was targeting a reveal in September. Given the delays Musk's companies have encountered in the past, holding an event within a month of the original date isn't bad.
Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride tentatively scheduled for Oct 26th in Hawthorne. Worth seeing this beast in person. It's unreal.— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) September 13, 2017
Some reports claim the Tesla Semi will launch with autonomous driving capabilities.
