Equifax's data breach took place between May and July. Along with some data on 143 million people being compromised, the hackers accessed credit card numbers for 209,000 people and other personal documents for 182,000.
Adding to the problem, three of the company's top executives sold $2 million worth of Equifax stock just before they claimed to have learned of the breach.
