Sony is rolling out Google Assistant to 4K HDR television models with Android TV. The feature will be available on all of its 2017 models as well as some TVs from 2016. With this addition, Sony's TVs have become the second Android TV-based product, following the NVIDIA Shield TV, to receive Assistant.
Users can control their television, utilize Google's search capabilities, and control smart home devices using the feature. You can activate the assistant by pressing your remote's microphone button.
The 2016 models that'll get Assistant are Sony's XBR - Z9D, XBR - X800D, and X BR - X750/X700D units.
