SpaceX Rocket Explodes During Testing In Texas

One of SpaceX's Merlin rocket engines exploded during a test at a facility in McGregor, Texas. The incident took place on Sunday and the private space company is now investigating the matter to figure out the cause. No one was injured by the explosion.

SpaceX says this failure isn't going to change any of its mission plans despite it originally intending to use the Merlin engine later in 2017.

All of the company's regular launches will continue as planned while the investigation takes place, but testing at the Texas facility is paused.
